GARDENIA
Gardenia is a 3-screen music video that considers women of the LGBTQ+ community and their lack of representation within the music video industry. I conceptualized, wrote, produced, directed, shot, edited and installed the project.
The video’s visuals were displayed across three television screens. The music was delivered through a rotary phone, which was re-engineered and coded to serve as a remote control. Whenever someone picked up the phone, the video played.
The piece was installed at UCLA’s Design | Media Arts Senior Show: Pressed For Space. Visitors were invited to sit down and have a personal experience with Gardenia. The music video can be viewed on Vimeo.
